THE STADTHUYS
One of the most photographed sites in Melaka, The Stadthuys was built by the Dutch in the middle of 17th century as their headquarters during the Dutch occupation of Melaka.
A FAMOSA
(PORTA DE SANTIAGO)
The oldest colonial structure in Melaka, Porta De Santiago is the remnant of the A Famosa fortress built by the Portuguese in 1511 after their conquest of Melaka.
JONKER WALK
At Jonker Street, you can find a wide range of delicious local delicacies, antique collections, souvenirs, etc. The street will be turned into Jonker Walk during the night in the weekends.
ST PAUL'S CHURCH
The ruin of St Paul's Church is located on the top of St Paul's Hill. The body of St Francis Xavier was once buried here for nine months in 1553 before being moved to Goa in India.
MELAKA SULTANATE PALACE
The replica of the Melaka Sultanate Palace is a museum on the era of the Malay Sultanate of Melaka in the 15th century.
MARITIME MUSEUM
The Maritime Museum is a replica of Flor De La Mar, the Portuguese ship captained by Afonso de Albuquerque in the Portuguese conquest of Melaka in 1511.
